Student Volunteers Can Make an Impact on a Non-Church Mission Trip This Summer
- Build a school for children in Ghana who have few educational opportunities
- Construct a greenhouse in the mountains of Peru and experience Machu Picchu
- Volunteer in an elephant sanctuary in Thailand and work closely with endangered elephants
- Experience places most youth missionary tours never go, like the Taj Mahal in India or the Forbidden City in China
- Embrace the traditions of another culture and make new friends in a non-Christian, secular setting
- Explore exciting new locales and have a real adventure in-between your community service projects
There ARE Non-Religious Mission Trips for High Schoolers!
Volunteering internationally is gaining popularity with teenagers- but many opportunities to travel are with religious organizations. For teens that aren’t religious but want to make a difference, many youth mission trips can be awkward.
Fortunately, Global Leadership Adventures offers non-religious mission trips for teens without any religious affiliation. These youth mission trips focus on meaningful service work and pair cultural activities and adventures alongside volunteering. High school students who travel with GLA have the chance to make an impact on a community abroad, while allowing them to experience life in another country- and unlike more traditional youth group missions, they are open to students of all faiths and backgrounds.
